Welcome to Birthdays (“Birthdays”, “the App”). By downloading, accessing, or using Birthdays, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Birthdays, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service, as well as any applicable laws and regulations.

2. Use of the App

Birthdays is provided for personal, non-commercial use to help you track birthdays, set reminders, and plan celebrations.

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any data stored on it.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, or interfere with the App’s functionality

• Misuse or attempt to bypass any limitations or safeguards within the App

 

4. Data and Privacy

Birthdays is designed with privacy as a core principle.

• The App does not require you to create an account.

• The App does not collect or store personal data such as names, birthdays, notes, or photos on our servers.

• All birthday data you enter is stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud account, if enabled.

To manage subscriptions and Pro upgrades, Birthdays uses RevenueCat, which may collect anonymous, non-identifiable data related to app installs and purchases. This data is used solely for subscription management and analytics and does not allow us to personally identify you.

5. Subscriptions and Purchases

Birthdays may offer optional in-app purchases or subscriptions (“Birthdays Pro”) to unlock additional features.

All purchases are processed securely through Apple’s App Store. We do not process or store payment information.

Subscription terms, pricing, and cancellation options are managed by Apple and can be viewed or changed in your Apple ID account settings.

6. Availability and Disclaimer

Birthdays is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we strive to provide a reliable and enjoyable experience, we make no guarantees regarding accuracy, availability, or uninterrupted operation.

Birthday reminders and notifications depend on system permissions and device settings, which may affect their delivery.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Birthdays and its developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from or related to your use of the App.

Use of the App is at your own discretion and risk.

8. Modifications to the App or Terms

We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time, without prior notice.

We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

• We do not collect or store personal information on our servers

All birthday information you enter — including names, dates, notes, photos, and checklists — is stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud account, if you choose to enable backups.

 

2. Offline Use

Birthdays can be used fully offline.

Your data remains on your device unless you choose to back it up using system services such as iCloud. Birthdays does not have access to your iCloud data.

3. Analytics and Subscriptions

Birthdays uses RevenueCat to manage optional in-app purchases and subscriptions (Birthdays Pro).

RevenueCat may collect anonymous, non-identifiable data, such as:

• App installation events

• Subscription status

• Purchase transactions

This data:

• Is used solely for subscription management and basic analytics

• Is not linked to personally identifiable information

• Cannot be used to identify you as an individual

Birthdays does not use advertising trackers or personalized advertising.

4. Notifications

If you enable notifications, Birthdays uses local notifications on your device to remind you of upcoming birthdays.

Notification permissions are optional and can be changed at any time in your device settings.

5. Data Security

Because your data is stored locally, its security depends on your device’s security settings.

We recommend using system-level protections such as:

• Device passcodes

• Face ID or Touch ID

• Encrypted device backups

Birthdays does not transmit your personal birthday data to external servers.

6. Third-Party Services

Birthdays does not integrate with third-party advertising networks or data brokers.

Any third-party services used are limited to essential app functionality (such as subscription management) and do not access or collect your personal birthday data.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.

Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
